The Hilltop KC — Attraction in Odessa

I recently had my wedding in early November at The Hilltop and I cannot express how happy I am with the experience and more importantly how much our guests enjoyed the experience. Not only was the venue absolutely stunning, but it was also incredibly affordable, which was a huge plus for us. Along with the open vendor policy and option to stock your own bar.

The staff were amazing. Terrica was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. She was always available whenever I had questions and even offered her expertise when I wasn’t really sure what to do about something. I was not the kind of girl who had a super clear vision of what my wedding day would look like. That can be a blessing or a curse but The Hilltop and the staff will make your dreams come true whether it’s over the top you are wanting or just a chill day with your boo.

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. I mean who doesn’t love a view?! The grounds were well maintained, the decor closet was organized and had a little something for everyone’s style. It’s a DIYers dream and I loved the special touch of being able to make your own monogram or PowerPoint and display it during the reception!

But what really stood out to us was how stress-free the entire experience was. From the planning stages to the day of, everything was so well taken care of, allowing us to truly enjoy the day.

Some special moments that meant a lot as a bride were the behind the scenes pictures Terrica took during the photography portions of the day, riding in her truck from shoot location to shoot location (so nice for the feet!!!) and just the random updates that everything is coming along just as you pictured it and concern for if there’s anything she can do to make it better/more perfect.

Overall, I highly recommend The Hilltop to anyone looking for a beautiful, affordable and stress free wedding venue. THANK YOU for making our wedding day so...

Me and my now wife just got married here last weekend. I want to start off the review by saying the venue looks beautiful and all the staff that were there day of were super helpful with coordinating with our vendors and taking care of things as they came up. You guys were great!

That being said, there were definitely a few things that took away from our experience on the day.

First off, the venue has quite a few wasps. We found an active nest in the arbour during our rehearsal night. Sosha got it taken care of before the wedding, but there was still one or two wasps hanging around bothering the maid of honor during the ceremony. The front entrance where we lined up outside for our grand entrance also had a lot of wasps coming out of the ceiling around the light fixtures.

Another issue was the AC in the bridal suite kept turning itself off while my wife and the bridesmaids were getting ready. The staff tried a few things to get it working, but the room ended up being warm while they were getting ready/waiting for the ceremony to start.

Other than that, the planning setup was a little hectic. I think we got caught up in a transitional period since Sosha got added to the team between our first and second planning meetings. We just felt like we didn't have enough time at our second planning meeting to figure out everything...

Let me first start with the owners, they're amazing! Open, honest, caring, and genuine. They absolutely devoted their time and energy to make your day all about YOU.

We fell in love with The Hilltop from the moment we first laid eyes on it (mind you there was snow on the ground) and then spring had sprung and not knowing it was possible, we fell even more in love - hello green trees.

They made us feel important from day one, including an endless stream of emails from the minor detailed questions, to the set up and take down, and oh so much more. If there was anything they could do to help solve a situation they'd jump to it immediately. They made my husband and I feel welcomed with their arms out, hearts open, and made us feel heard when we were asked a question. A huge plus was that they made absolute sure drama was non existent. The bridal shows are a must, go check out their different foods, drinks, and local vendors.
