It's a beautiful area, very spacious and well kept except the play area. It's very runned down. It has a "bridge" that has been broken for a while. It's rusted or broken, and the slides are not designed at all for little kids. It's very high off the ground and when kids slide down they go so fast and end up on the ground, getting hurt. It's at least a 2 feet off the ground. There is grass over grown all over the play area. I as a kid use to love going there, but it just isn't nice like it used to be.

We stopped here earlier in the day when traveling. The views are pretty with all the hills around and the morning fog made it look even better. The park was clean and felt safe. There were not a lot of people (but it was early) and the kids enjoyed walking the trail we found that takes you through a bean field and down to the river. The river of course wasn't the cleanest area but we still enjoyed walking down there early in the morning.

Gorgeous, spacious park! We stopped with our students after a field trip to Vern Riffe Center. We had lunch, and then the kids had a great time enjoying your playground equipment. Up keep on the park is phenomenal. It's was a beautiful day with the Kentucky Hills in the distance and the rock formations to our north! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy such a great spot. The kids, teachers and parents all enjoyed the afternoon.

The so-called drone airfield is not what they claim it to be. It is supposedly open seven days a week for remote aerial pilots and hobbyists, but it was found locked and unaccessible to the public.

The only possible way to gain any access to the area is to, call a custodian and if and when he is there or, he schedules you an appointment, he will come and unlock the airfield individually for you.

This is not what the park advertises and demonstrates how local leaders and park administrators feel about the...
