Turkey Creek Lake — Attraction in Ohio

This park is wonderful. Turkey Creek lake provides a Nature Center, boat ramp, picnic areas and a beach roped off for swimming. Hiking and biking trails surround the lake and connect to other trails weaving through the forest. The lodge provides an amazing view of the lake from the top of the hill if you get a chance to eat or stay there. Disc golf, archery range, beach volleyball are all nearby. Paddleboats and canoes available for rent from the campground store at Lake Roosevelt. Though fishing isn't great and can be fairly slow...Channel catfish, largemouth bass, and a variety of sunfish can be caught in this lake. Rainbow trout are annually stocked in April for the trout derby and the trout fishing can be excellent for a couple weeks until they are all caught or the water temperature rises.
