One of the most beautiful metro parks in Ohio! If you look hard enough you'll discover some unique flora especially, in the Spring but it's a stunning area year-round. If like me, you have children who like to be outdoors among nature, they're outdoorsy & adventurous and get stir crazy because there's little to no room to play outside & explore properly.

Many people enjoy Wildwood preserve because it's closer to the city yet is still far enough away that no hustle and bustle will retire here and the air is still clean. You'll find plenty of beautifully serene walking paths with dense, lush forests, wildlife, a playground for kids, plenty of parking, easy-to-read signs, and lots of wildlife to see & hear. Also, a great place to practice photography, bird watching, field sketching, medicinal herb & botanical studies, and You may even find the inspiration here to strum a few chords while relaxing upon one of the sturdy benches along stretches of footpaths, etc.

So, go on, get away from it all! Find peace surrounded by nature and mellow out...

I recently spent a couple of hours people watching on a late Monday morning and it quickly became obvious to me that this place is adored by many. Maybe adored isn't the right word because I also need to include the fact that people seem to respect and care for everything that Wildwood offers. From the walking trails to the playgrounds, from the gardens to the various themed pockets throughout the preserve. I was situated where the walking groups tend to gather before and after their outing and was able to observe they're genuine happiness about being there. It's hard to describe but easy to see. Also worth mentioning are the devoted volunteers that keep the gardens and trails, and even the uniquely themed restrooms, in awesome condition! The park is designed in such a way that whether you are taking your children to the playground or your to appreciate the different gardens, there are individual parking lots to keep you near your choice. In the entire park is...

Lovely naturalized park with many and varied trail types. There are trails for foot, bike, or both traffic--paved, wooden plank, and dirt paths. It is a pet-friendly park, providing bags and trash cans frequently. There is a centralized playground structure and several open green for gathering and activities. There are also several historic buildings throughout and marked with signs. Parking is plentiful and throughout the park. Topographically interesting, Wildwood is full if interesting changes in elevation with built wooden structures to facilitate accessibility. It is teeming with regional wildlife and vegetation, with birding trails and plants of interest clearly marked by signs. Any man-made structures are well integrated into the landscape. There are several natural water features (ponds, brooks, streams). Well placed seating is plentiful throughout, there are water fountains, clean and attractive restrooms, and helpful maps and rrailmarkers to help...

I always love Wildwood, my friend who is now passed loved this park more than me! I hate when it's busy but always it's busy in the summer time, I just don't like the way people dress that's really all it is, I wish people could respect themselves more and dress with more clothes on, but women are to the point where they want anyone because they are missing something and that something is God, and boys they wear there pants to their ankles and don't pull them up, don't they realize that originated in jail for an invitation to their butt? I wish etiquette could be taught in schools still but I guess people no longer like manners, but other than that I love this park, I love the trails and how long and how they put in an exercise equipment so people can do more than run. We even saw deer up close yesterday!
