I don't wanna scare anyone, but I'm gonna give it to you straight about Jason. His body was never recovered from the lake after he drowned. And if you listen to the old-timers in town, they'll tell you he's still out there, some sort of demented creature, surviving in the wilderness, full grown by now... stalking... stealing what he needs, living off wild animals and vegetation. Some folks claim they've even seen him, right in this area. The girl that survived that night at Camp Blood, that... Friday The 13th? She claimed she saw him. She disappeared two months later... vanished. Blood was everywhere. No one knows what happened to her. Legend has it that Jason saw his mother beheaded that night. Then, he took his revenge, a revenge he continued to seek if anyone ever enters his wilderness again. And, by now, I guess you all know we're the first to return here. Five years... five long years he's been dorment. And he's hungry. Jason's out there... watching... always on the prowl for intruders... ready to kill... ready to devour... thirsty for...

This place at one time was very peaceful and beautiful. I loved taking the kids there and walking in the back along the river BUT as of now it has become a place of burnt trash galore and multiple dogs all due to the homeless that have set up all along the back side. We couldn’t even walk in peace without a dog coming out of the woods lunging at us while their owners just sat by their tents doing nothing. One area had so much burnt trash it was impossible to walk through. Just doesn’t feel safe anymore and while I sympathize with the homeless situation I do not agree that they should be allowed to overtake and trash beauty that’s meant for all to see. Something needs to be done or it’s gonna go back to how it was once before all the city’s efforts to clean it up. Watch out for all the...

Please note that the archery range is gone now. So if you're going there just to shoot. It's completely gone. They've not taken down the signs or anything but it is no longer there. :( I think not enough people donated and it was left looking trashy can people didn't pick up after themselves.

The lake and the dock area and park is still nice in the daylight. I had a nice little walk around there although I intended to shoot at the range. And it has still a good number of people so it wasn't isolated or anything and still felt safe in...

We love going here to fish, the only issues really is the "road" in has such HUGE holes. They refill them, but they literally just make the same hole repeatedly so be careful. The lighting, there isn't much light at night when fishing so it can get a little creepy especially bc of the Location. It stays pretty busy with the fishing, but fishing is pretty good. Mainly small fish, but we just fish for fun so always catch and release.

Nice weather today. Perfect day for fishing in between all the rain we've had and what is forecasted. (Update 8-2-25: nice calm water to fish on, however the banks and the boat ramp are all overgrown with cattails. Fishing from the bank used to be easier to access. The fishing dock is still there, so that is helpful.)

The whole park is full of garbage. Obviously, there are trash cans. Fishing people should at least take care of the environment here. What's more, they should take their children with them and let them develop good habits.
