Rodeo is our absolute favorite place to see movies (and we see A LOT of movies)! They are constantly hosting cool events. Silent Sundays where they show an old silent movie and have a live organ accompaniment. They recently hosted a (free!) viewing of the premier episode of The Last of Us on HBO. There are lots of interactive shows and shows that feature live entertainment, lots of nostaglic movies being shown and of course plenty of smaller indie flicks. We are members and love coming and showing our support. The local film scene is really rich here in OKC and I'm so glad we have orgs and events like these. If you're ever in Tulsa check our Circle Cinema too! I believe they are sister cinemas!
I'm always a fan of the popcorn but the last couple times the fountain drinks have been flat. Diet Coke is important to my moviegoing experience but I'm sure they'll get that...
Read moreThis is a really fun and quirky little theater down in the stockyards. I went down with the wife to see a comedy show. The theater is cozy it's 100 maybe 150 seat something that range. Just as you walk into the right there's a small lounge and then to the left is a snack bar very classic looking and and they do sell alcohol and beer which is great. I know they are planning on changing up the events and I'm really looking forward to heading back down there to see what they've done. It is so important to support our local community businesses. Going to the Rodeo Cinema for a movie, a comedy show or any event there makes a world of difference in the long...
Read moreExcellent little theater and so glad I happened to find it! Don't let its status as a non-profit fool you, everything from the projection and audio systems to the seating are top notch and match or exceed what's at many of the large commercial multiplexes in the area. The seats in particular were probably the comfiest non-recliner theater seating in the state. Pricing was about on par with other theaters in the area, but you feel better about it because you know you're supporting something that actually gives back to the community. Highly recommend for smaller movies that may only show up at the Quail Springs Mall...
