Let me preface by stating this is not a racially motivated review. My children and grandchildren children are native American.
I have not frequented many casinos in my life and certainly not tribally owned casinos. While I was raised in Oklahoma, I have never had to deal with tribal police. I have, however heard the stories which are similar to City county and state stories.
Tonight was very disconcerting for me and I was terribly uncomfortable to the point I had to leave. I was not involved in the incidences and did not see or hear them in their entirety.
The first incident involved what appeared to be a slightly challenged young man in his 30's. He was well groomed, cooperative and respectful of security, who were terribly unprofessional by turning what appeared to be over zealous behavior that ultimately embarrassed people unnecessarily in public. They questioned him, requested his ID and wanted to search him
The next person was a well groomed, mannerly and cooperative female in her forties. She was minding her own business, playing slots and keeping to herself same thing happened to her.
The most disturbing and appalling incident involved an elderly lady, hunched slightly due to age and clutching her purse. she was playing slots when her harassment began.
Oddly, however, were the enumerable amount of loud, people who appeared to be tweakers that were not even remotely bothered by these "security personnel". I'm confused.
If an average person with a moral compass and some breeding is the profiled target of these casinos, while those who should be profiled are ignored, WHAT risks are we taking by patronizing these establishments?
I say, corruption is every where and no one is immune. If you don't have to be there, then don't. Go...

Walked past the penny slots like a high roller, made my way to the blackjack table like I knew what I was doing, and slapped down a crisp twenty like it was a down payment on a yacht.
First hand? Dealer pulls a 21 like heâs David Blaine. Second hand? I bust with a 3. A three. I didnât even know that was mathematically possible, but there I wasâlosing money faster than my will to live.
So I moved to the slots, figuring maybe the âBuffalo Gold Mega Deluxe Ultra Whateverâ machine would show me some mercy. Spoiler: it did not. It just took my last $10, flashed some animations like I was about to win big, and then proudly announced, âYou won 75 cents!â âlike I was supposed to go buy a celebratory Mountain Dew and thank the gambling gods.
By the end of it, I had $2.17 in rewards points, a free fountain drink, and a fresh reminder that Duck Creek wasnât...
