The area on its own is beautiful with a lot of things to do. We stayed two days and didn’t do all we wanted. Fishing was great here. The water is so clear that you can see the fish swimming around. The country store has lures but no worms. So bring worms if you need them. Country store has typical convenience pricing. If you have commissary access I’d recommend stopping there first for anything you’ll need. It’s about 20 min from LETRA. The beach was nice and decently maintained. The sand is super fun to play in. The slide is fun but they had to close it the second day we were here due to a shortage of lifeguards. So that was disappointing. They do have puddle jumpers and life jackets for guests. The bathrooms at the beach were maintained well and they offer showers. The mini golf area is a little rough around the edges but it doesn’t prevent you from having a great time. Overall, the area itself could use some better upkeep but it wasn’t so bad that I would never want to come here again and it didn’t affect our fun. We stayed in a large cabin. #5. I don’t get the impression that they clean them between guests. As we found a bloody sheet on one of the beds and hair in the shower and on the floor. The mattresses are not as shown on their website. They are foam and they are stiff. Sleeping in the room with the full bed is hot. They provided a fan that did not work. Multiple smoke alarms were removed from their bases. The upstairs air conditioning unit was covered outside with bird nesting materials. We were missing cooking pots in our cabin. One of the bedroom doorknobs was loose. They have an “inspection sheet” at the front of the cabin and it showed monthly inspections on the first but none in the month we stayed. We had family that stayed in cabin #1 and they were surprised by the layout as it was not what was listed online. Cabin 1 is ADA compliant with an outdoor ramp. It has a queen bed up in the loft, twin bunks on the bottom, and a twin futon. It appeared to be maintained much better than our cabin. The layout in 1 would be so much better for families in all of the medium cabins but I was told all others have two full beds and a futon. Bring everything you could need here. Amenities are basically what you’d get tent camping. They provide dishes and cookware but no dish soap. So bring that and a sponge to clean dishes. Expect tent camping vibes with a solid structure, mattresses, AC/heat, and a private bathroom. This is on a military installation and you will hear artillery firing at all hours. Yes, even at night. It’s loud and it woke us multiple times. Bring ear plugs or a loud fan. We had no wifi and was told it was due to storms. The tv worked fine but it was hard to navigate. Our tv remote did not work but the satellite one did. We didn’t use the tv much as there’s so much to do outdoors! I would definitely recommend this place and even the cabins despite their issues. Bring clorox wipes and expect to do a bit of cleaning when you check in. As long as you are prepared well and manage expectations this is a fun place. Given the conditions of the cabin, I do think it’s slightly overpriced but you’re also getting access to all the areas included in that price. If you want a camping experience but hate tent camping this is a decent compromise. I would say three days would be enough to do everything.

The campground guy was friendly and informative and let us know the ones and outside of the campground. Very peaceful and there's a few different spots to fish, there's a little beach area, a miniature golf course, and a playground area for kids. The cabin we got was a med, that could sleep up to 7 people, however that was not going to happen. It could sleep 3 to 4 comfortably but that's it. We have an area to grill outdoors, plus there's a lunching area that's pretty big. It's on a military base, so there's definitely security, which is great...also, getting a boat is first come, first served, so you've gotta get there early.

Nice beach! The kids always have a lot of fun. The restrooms are clean and there are showers and changing areas. There are also baby changing tables in the restrooms. There are 2 giant canopies that can fit multiple families. The view is beautiful of the mountains. $6.00 for the car load for the day is super cheap. (Military rate) There was a ATM just past the gate. There are life guards on duty. We did not use them but there are paddle boats and kayaks for rent. There are some RV spots right across the street from the beach. Beach hours are Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 7pm.

We stayed here for my brothers graduation from basic, and by far the worst place I've ever stayed at. We arrived to find someone in the spot we had reserved weeks in advance. When we went to the office we were met with attitude, and the man said the person in our spot got bit by a dog... ok? When I asked for a list of activities he told me they were all closed; no paddle boats, no water slide, amd every staff we met was rude about it. Still had to pay full price for our spot though. Anyways, we went to walk the beach and were met several people, in lifeguard swim suits, telling us we weren't allowed to be there cause they didnt have a lifeguard because they were understaffed, but they sure had plently of people there to tell us all the things we weren't allowed to do. The rv spots had no fire pit, no trees, and no shade. The showers were dirty and the mats on the floor had mold on them. And there was a raccoon running around the campsite without its tail and one of its legs. And not like stubs, they were open wounds. The lady staying close to the bathrooms said he has been running around like that for a while, and she has tried to get them to do something about it and they told her, "it will die soon enough". It was so sad. The cabin was infested. Dead and live gnats on every surface, even the beds along with spiders. Had to go back the office to get them to clean it, which should've been done before we arrived. It was a really big disappointment, we wont be going back. Only good thing is...

This is one of the worst experiences I have ever had We booked there lodge for a family reunion back in January for July took out my money so was paid.Got a phone call 3 days before the reunion and was told they over booked. We were told we could have the pavilion in the morning and get the lodge at 3 never had another choice and was to late to even try and find another place so we took pavilion with understanding they would have fans there and we would get lodge at 3 Well that didn’t happen and it wasn’t really a pavilion just a picnic area no fans no electricity to it even and far away from where we could let the kids do anything We toughed it out till 3 went to get lodge lady wasn’t even there said they would send her over never showed went back at 4 then was told we weren’t even getting lodge at all that that was not what we agreed to. Needless to say this was the worst day for everyone at the reunion only thing that saved us is we had a breeze that day No bathroom close to pavilion at all had to drive to it I have never been so lied to by so many people in one place this was awful,Needless to say I will never go back to this place and would never recommend it to anyone. We have 3 disabled vets and a few elderly this was so so wrong on all accounts the TRUTH would have been...
