Apparently they couldn't quite swing service at the pool. Poolside bar wasn't open. Meanwhile, there are at least 7 floaters here in the pool requiring beverages. Had to go clear inside to the casino to order. Standing there in all the wet poolness. Just dripping. Towel or no, it was a mess. Service was extremely slow even there at the bar. I placed an order for everyone at the pool.. ever so graciously they said they could bring out the drinks. I requested that they have someone please come outside occasionally to check on us and take a drink order. I was firm but 100 % polite. I was quite upset given the circumstances. I spoke to not only the bar server, but the hotel staff at the reception desk. They all nodded in agreement and said no problem. Welp, that was a lie. Haven't seen a soul. So here we are sober... the will to throw money away in a slot machine has waned. Disappointment is an understatement. This situation could have easily been remedied by just having any of the forty eleven employees inside come out to take care of the patrons. You took away a service for no reason..aka the poolside bar.. therefore i believe you are obligated to provide some kind of compensation. A simple thing like taking a few drink orders occasionally. Now.. if this were a Tuesday, i may be a bit more understanding, but this was a Friday afternoon...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed one night in November. The hotel check-in was painfully slow, since the clerk was new and basically untrained. While there was a more experienced person there to assist, she was often distracted by others, leaving our clerk to muddle through. We were very patient; however, neither woman was particularly friendly. The hotel desk isn't marked but is fairly easy to find inside the casino. For a brand new building, it's surprising there isn't a separate entrance for the hotel, which could have very easily been installed directly in front of the check-in area. Dragging luggage along the casino floor is awkward; a luggage cart had to be requested and retrieved from a desk clerk. The room itself (king, accessible) was fine, except the temperature is centrally controlled, meaning it can't be adjusted by guests. While it was a very cold night (in the 20s), the thermostat couldn't be changed from 70°F (chilly, especially with no carpet). That's unacceptable, in my opinion. The rooms have a frig and Keurig with coffee/tea setups; no microwave. The pool and hot tub looked very nice for a visit in better weather. We didn't bother playing in the small casino, which wasn't busy on the Sunday night or Monday morning we were there. While the nightly rate was attractive, and the reason I booked, I wouldn't...
Read moreThis is so far from the world, it's nice to have a place like this to stay close to family...BUT there were a few things. Most, there is NO bathroom privacy! It's a sliding barn door that doesn't completely close!! It's a good thing we've been married forever but still! The room was very nice but they started playing the pool music at 6:00 am! I thought it would end, but it didn't. I had to call the front desk. However, it was corrected quickly. Next, the pipe music into the pool. You better like hip hop and rap. We requested another genre, but no luck. And another thing, but I guess it might be small. There is only a restaurant, no little coffee shop to get GOOD coffee because we all know hotel room coffee is not great. First casino I've ever been in without a Starbucks, and I've been in plenty. 3 different ones here in the tulsa area. Anyway, the room was nice, the people were nice, aside from the music, the pool was nice. Although, it's hard to say because the pool is why we're here, and the music sort of ruined it. And we were planning the pool for all of today. I'd say a mostly nice time 3 out of 5. Probably would stay here again for the people I came to see, but bring my own music and coffee, and only stay with someone I can go to the bathroom in...
