Do not recommend. TLDR they returned a laptop with malware / remote desktop software on it twice without fixing it, despite paying for that exact service. Did not go back the third time.
A relative brought her laptop here after clicking on a malicious link and ended up installing remote desktop software on her system without her realizing it. We are not nearby, so we found this place for her to bring it to for servicing. Lyco Micro said they ran scans (Malwarebytes, RogueKiller), checked the browser extensions, etc. and guaranteed there could be no remote connect software on the computer due to the Windows version and due to Malwarebytes not really picking anything up.
Despite this, upon taking the laptop home again she was still having people remote connect to her computer so she brought it back to them a second time. They again said there was nothing wrong with it and insisted it was not possible for there to be any malware / remote connect software on the computer. They said it was her fault and insisted she was just clicking on fake sponsored/ad links and wasn't viewing the real websites, implying that all of her issues were only in the browser which was not true. She told us that she felt that the employees were literally just not listening to her. We were on the phone with her during this second visit to the business, and she was expressing concern about signing in to personal accounts, too; we had to be the one to suggest to the employee the possibility of keyloggers being on her system since we didn't know what was wrong yet... But they didn't fix the issue still.
The third time she realized it was still not fixed, she did not bring it back. We got on a call with her ourselves and had her open the task manager, lo and behold there was a software called ScreenConnect (a remote desktop access program!) running. We ended up factory resetting the laptop on our own (which BTW we also asked them if they could do for her in the first place since she had no important data on the laptop, but they refused to do so since they said it wouldn't fix the issue despite also claiming there wasn't any issues...). We called this business ourselves after they had not fixed it two times now and let them explain what they did to diagnose it before telling them that we found the issue ourselves (to their surprise?). They still guaranteed there was no malware or remote connect software and that the scans barely showed any findings beyond a low range of trackers. Again, they insisted it was her fault for clicking on a 'fake' YouTube link despite us being on a call with her and sharing her screen as the people controlled the computer. She was on regular old youtube... It was extremely disappointing that a business for this exact purpose didn't do something as simple as check the task manager for running programs. We kindly expressed that we were not satisfied with their services, and all the business said was 'OK'. They did not even apologize or offer to remove the software upon learning it was there (even though we would not have returned) or anything.
