Just to level set your expectations. This is one of two courses in and around a very popular summer vacation town, so they don't have to try very hard to get business. Rounds are on the high side as expected, but the condition and services of the course don't live up to the price. The course has the potential to be extremely good if the club started to care more about the condition and services they provide.

First Thoughts: The club house is beautiful, practice green in great shape and gps carts are a great addition.

Driving range: Dilapidated and not in great shape but it gets the job done for a quick warm up session.

Course: Overall I would say the course is in pretty good shape, with good fairways, layout but it's mid June and the greens are already in rough shape. There were 3/4 greens that are in awful shape and a number of tee boxes that are not even and in interesting positions.

Services: I played on Memorial Day weekend and on Fathers Day and was very disappointed by the services. The water coolers were empty, the beer cart didn't appear to be going around and there is no grill or food at the turn. All of this is unacceptable with greens fees in this range.

Update for August 2021: Conditions slightly better but bunkers are in awful shape, still no water coolers and beverage cart didn't get to us until 12th hole which is problematic when it's 85 degrees out.

Update for May 2024: Conditions of fairways and greens were okay but not where they should be in late May. Lots of questionable weed/growth situation has me less than optimistic as things get hotter. Near zero collar around greens.

Tee boxes were very shaggy and not well maintained.

There continues to be zero water jugs on course and all ball washers lacked water.

Driving range continues to be dilapidated and over-grown. Not sure how they're able to pickup balls, but I suppose it gets the job done.

August 2025

Tee boxes are in awful shape and not a single bunker had sand in it. Otherwise, the rest of the course was in good shape.

Will bump up to three stars due to condition of fairways and greens but the little things continue to be...

Scheduled a tee time for 9/2/24, 1:10pm. 2 carts, 4 people. Two of us were inexperienced golfers and planned on scrambling in order to ensure pace of play and respect for other players.

We were held up at the first box by the tee time ahead of us and we ended up tee-ing off late. Immediately after our drive, the organizer/ranger drove out to us with nothing but attitude.

The lady was absolutely flustered that we had 4 players, but she had only seen 2 of us to begin with. Again, we paid for 4 and scheduled for 4.

She told us to let the next group play through immediately, resulting in us pulling over mid hole and ultimately not even finishing the first hole.

For the rest of the there was a massive back up. As a group we took the fall and let several groups play through us, all of whom were very upset with the situation, a few groups witnessing what she had us do on hole 1.

She was rude, condescending, and made it very clear that we were not welcome. All of this because we had to wait on the group ahead of us which made our...

What happened to the restaurant? I went in for lunch today and it was awful. The Brussels sprouts are not the same. No flavor so I asked for some salad dressing (which I was charged for) to try to add flavor. Didn’t help. The fish taco was was more like a cabbage taco. The ceasar wrap was mostly lettuce. And then there was the waitress….she was friendly enough but REALLY needs some training. She couldn’t answer menu questions. I asked how many wings come in an order. She said “I’m not really sure, maybe 6 or 8.” I asked about the flatbread of the day. She said “I think it’s chicken BBQ”. She piled dirty dishes in front of my daughter. It took 3 times asking before she brought a to-go container. She took everything off the table, including the water I was drinking, while we were still sitting there. I asked for a check and was told I would get it after I paid. She stood there with a device in her hand waiting for me to pay. Very uncomfortable...

Grill 65 at Dunegrass has reopened with a new configuration, chef and menu. The new bar arrangement provides plenty of seating for those who like to sit at the bar. They have added 5 TV's allowing easy viewing of several sporting events. The new menu is outstanding and the new chef is ensuring the dishes are well executed. It is well worth trying. Update 4/12/2024 Grill 65 is worth the visit. The menu is great and always changing and the selections are great. The chef is getting creative, I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with for the summer. Friday nights there is live music. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are in the area stop by.

The hubs and I wanted to try something new and he found this place. Located on a golf course. Now called Grill 65. The Brussel sprout appetizer was delicious. It had roasted beets and candied pecans, great combination! I had the chicken parm and the hubs has the salmon. My chicken was cooked well and the breading was perfectly crunchy. The mozzarella lacked melting and didn’t have a flavor. My hubs salmon was waaaasyyyy too salty. They did comp the meal by 25%. Which should had been 100%. The atmosphere is very echoey and everything is white and gray.

Fantastic 18 hole golf course nestled in a wonderful golfing community. You start the first hole by teeing off upon high looking down a beautiful fairway. With each hole you descend deeper into a secluded world of challenging and rewarding tree lined golf. Enjoyed every bit of this course — you must work the ball both ways to score well and be careful of going long on some of these greens. Played when I visited from the U.K. and loved it! Will play again when I visit.
