Mission Creek Nature Park — Attraction in Olympia

I live afjacent to the park. Always seema friendly folk walking the trail. Mid 30's to mid 50's seems the dominant demographic. Not to many ypunger children, but an occasional stroller. Well maintained trails. Nice forested areas with some glades/meadow areas. Some very old maples at a precise location. Bike paths criss cross. Havent crossed a rude, or careless rider yet. Warch for the Barred Owls. Great park for a walk or jog, a quick bike ride, or taking the dog for a stroll. Undeveloped with well-maintained trails and quite a bit of wildlife for being so urban. Deer, coyotes, opossums, raccoons and squirrels are frequently seen, and there are many species of birds that call this home, including owls, woodpeckers, flickers, jays, chickadees, towhees, juncos and the like. The park itself was difficult to find since it looks like it’s in front of someone’s house and the neighborhood is run down. The trails are green and plush, a few places were thick and overgrown and in need of some trimming back.
