Both theaters have horrible air conditioning and ventilation. I have never been so uncomfortable in a movie theater as I am in the Omak and Mirage. The "old" theater has seats that are at least 40 or 50 years old and they feel like it. The place is dark and stuffy with an odd smell and archaic equipment. The "new" theater is basically three glorified big screen TV's with theater seating and prices. Snack selection is slightly cheaper than a real theater with much less selection, still overpriced. This place would be closed if the nearest competitor wasn't 200 miles away round trip. Actually, if Omak were bigger and a real theater opened nearby this place would probably become a seedy adult theater, its already on that level but...

The newer one (Mirage) has better seating and is more up to date compared to the old one (Omak Theater) but they both do the job and usually syart on time.
Snacks are just as expensive here as they are in any theater. This one knows what "lots of butter" means when you ask for it on your popcorn. I usually get the bucket as I have 3 growing grandchildren eating from it and we welcome the...
Read moreGreat small town theater! Affordable choices for anyone living on a budget or if you simply like a great deal. Currently, they offer $5 tickets per person on Tuesdays only, for all movies at both theaters, adults and children. If you follow them on Facebook they consistently post events for children, and at times they raise food by accepting donations like canned goods for admission. I'd say they are perfectly involved in the community. Inside, they sell bull blasters (my fav!), italian sodas, and of course your theater staples like nachos, popcorn, candy.. Definitely a great business to support while your in town or...
