OMGee whiz. Excuse me, but now back in the area after 45 ish years. This place is still in operation. Came down from Tonasket sometime in the late 60s or early 70s can't remember exactly when, though the theater records would probably know. Watched the Herbie movie (had a 1956 VW bug at the time) came out after the movie to find a package of Herbie stickers under my window wiper. Koooool. Thinking now about maybe seeing another movie here, just for old times sake -or more- always did like the "atmosphere" in an inside, sit down theater. And of course the double butter popcorn and... hmmm what were those things, name escapes me, big kisses like candy in a cardboard tube... well maybe they still have them wouldn't that be a hoot. My first experience with these theatres was at the Tonasket theatre a long time ago, I think the fare to get in was a nickel or a dime. Hated to see the place gone. It was replaced by a restaurant named D'Amicos which now too is gone. Lots of things gone in the last 45 years, wonderfully happy to see the Omak Theater is still here. Snoopy...
   Read moreI was not impressed at all I called ahead of time to make sure o could use my gift card they had said yes so I promised my nephew we would see the movie we go there and are told we can not use it I called to talk to the manager and she had said we could go this time but no longer accept them on weekends so we go to get out tickets and the owner said she didn't care what the manager said she is over riding her decision. They were rude. I have never felt more humiliated and disrespected will never ever go there again my nephew...

But you are so close, elbow to elbow, that it is a fun social experience. It is an older theater, but clean and well used.
