Onekama Village Park — Attraction in Onekama Township

First of all Onekama is a very beautiful lake town rich in history and timeless beauty!! This park is located right in town on Portage Lake. It has a beach and swimming area, picnic tables with grills, (just bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid) nice playground for the kids, two boat ramps and lots of benches to just sit and reflect, read a book, watch the sunset, or whatever tickles your fancy! A very nice quiet park with plenty of shade. A pavilion and good bathrooms. Plenty of picnic tables and a few permanent park style charcoal grills. Right on Portage Lake with a sandy beach. There are a few stones in the water near shore but that didn't create any problems. You can launch your boat here and enjoy all of Portage Lake and go out to Lake Michigan...
