Great Park to go too, with your family and friends. And sell Associates. Very peaceful. Nice, walking trails, plenty of trees. Makes you feel like you're back in nature. And away from the hustle, and bustle, of common City living. Great place for karma barbecues, picnics, parties, chugging, bike riding, meditation. Just keep in mind, the waterways there, are filled with alligators. And there are a lot of, big ones. Remember to stay away from their fetus, it contains the Visa Manila poisoning. Don't allow small children around them. And now that I'm talking about children, do not take your eyes off them, for one minute. Keep them nearby. Remember this park is named after oh, the first woman, Amelia Earhart, that flew around the world, by herself. In a single engine airplane. If you have time, you can read up about her. Before you go to the park. I think it would help, to make a more enjoyable, and informative visit, to the park. It is also a good conversation piece, if you run into someone, that also has history on her. Florida is full of, very beautiful parks. This is definitely, and one of my most enjoyable ones. My children love to go there. And my fellow Associates, gather there, almost every other weekend, if the weather allows. Bring mosquito repellent. Lock all doors and windows, in your vehicles. Do not leave any valuables, visible. Remember be vigilant, it will make a more enjoyable journey, and safe one. Remember the park closes, right before sundown. I hope I was very helpful today. I am a local Google guide assistant. To help assist, and make your daily commutes, as enjoyable, as possible, safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free, to send me them. I will answer correctly. This is something that I enjoy doing, helping other humans. There is no better feeling, like this. Share this good message to others. The world will be a better place. Okay I think I covered everything. For now this is David Lawrence, signing out. I will be back online tomorrow morning, with you and more refreshing reviews. Before I forget, this is a great place to ride bicycles. There are a lot of animals. You can ride ponies, and horses there. You can go fishing. They have a Snack Shack. Very friendly people. Public bathrooms. I can go on and on. There are also water activities. Try not to swim in, the Lakes. Just left safe anymore. Maybe 30 years ago. Once again view all the photos, that are available, for this part. You are going to be amazed. I can't cover everything that there is there. It would take an hour , to tell, and explain. Enjoy enjoy enjoy. I had already signed out, but I had to jump back on. Because I did leave some important , details out. Okay now I'm really sending out this is David Lawrence. LOL I'm exhausted it's time for this local Google guide assistant, to take a nap. LOL will continue sharing, end giving, my experience and advice. Tomorrow morning. For now good night and enjoy...

Great for mountain bike trails amongst other cool park amenities(picnics, kayaking, petting zoo, horse rides, etc.)!

So, I wanted to start my review with the point that stood out to me the most from other parks around Miami--the mountain bike(mtb) trails--simply because that's the only reason I visited the park. Aside from the freestyle wakeboarding, the mtb trails are one of the few things this park offers that you won't find at your average city park.

Atmosphere: The trails are a great way to feel like you're not in the city anymore, and just get away for a bit. Very well marked so you're not confused on your first ride. The beginner trails flow very well for beginners and kids, and offer simple obstacles to get over or maneuver. Smalls yet moderately challenging uphills followed by gratifying subtle downhills. Trails can take anywhere from 10-60 minutes to finish depending on whether you want to just breeze through the easiest trails or try all of them in ascending difficulty. GREAT FOR PICTURES (when the trails are completely empty). I don't recommend stopping for pictures. It was just extremely empty and late in the day, so I knew we were the only two people on the trails.

Parking: PayByPhone is located around the park, but there are some places you can pull up without paying, although I'm sure security may eventually come by and tell you to move if it's a packed weekend.

Facilities: Couldn't find a single restroom by or in the mtb trails, so be ready to.....yeah lol.

Hours of Operation: I went on a weekday holiday (Fourth of July) around 6pm and they were still open until sundown, which was about 8:15-8:30pm.

Overall: I'm literally trying to go back as soon as possible lol! Might load up my bike this weekend, and see a comparison on the weekends. P.S. the beginner trails aren't hard, but my friend had a city cruiser with no suspension with one gear, and road tires AND STILL managed to do about half of the obstacles. highly suggest at least a stiff tail mountain bike.

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. lol that rule is on every directional sign in the trail section, so there's no excuse if you get caught...
