If you are a saltwater fisherman who lacks a boat, this jetty is the next best thing. Very long pier that extends far enough out into the ocean that it allows you to access deeper water and the bigger fish. Snook, jacks, tarpon, grouper, etc. All are routinely caught here. Unlike many piers where the catching is more sporadic, the fishing here is almost constant. An outgoing tide concentrates fish on the northside of the pier and a 4" mojarra floated through the current will get hammered by any number of fish. People fighting the fish. (Pulling in good fish off the jetty.) Horseshoe crab. 2 ocean side beaches. 1 jetty side little waves good sand.
