Such a beautiful piece of history. There's a parking lot right next to the trail and easy access to the path leading to the trestle. The park offers vault toilet, picnic tables, and lots of grassy areas. There's plenty of shade to cool off on a warm day. It's a short walk to the trestle (approximately 1/2 mile or less). You can walk the entire distance of the trestle and view the creek from the top. Be sure to walk to the bottom of the trestle. It's a beautiful view from the bottom as well. Enjoy! Read moreOnce used by logging trains, this is now part of the 21-mile-long Banks-Vernonia State Trail, an excellent example of a rails-to-rails project. The trestle is 80' high. There is an easy trail from the parking lot that runs under the trestle and to the bottom for the most spectacular views. Well worth a quick side trip...
