Such a beautiful piece of history. There's a parking lot right next to the trail and easy access to the path leading to the trestle. The park offers vault toilet, picnic tables, and lots of grassy areas. There's plenty of shade to cool off on a warm day. It's a short walk to the trestle (approximately 1/2 mile or less). You can walk the entire distance of the trestle and view the creek from the top. Be sure to walk to the bottom of the trestle. It's a beautiful view from the bottom as well. Enjoy! This was a great find while on our adventures.

Once used by logging trains, this is now part of the 21-mile-long Banks-Vernonia State Trail, an excellent example of a rails-to-rails project. The trestle is 80' high. There is an easy trail from the parking lot that runs under the trestle and to the bottom for the most spectacular views. Well worth a quick side trip off Hwy. 26.

Great little stop! 1) u pass a nice eating area where you can pick your own berries, watch some horses. 2) there is a bathroom (not the best but its there) 3) long bike trail !!! (Wish we had bikes) 4) MULTIPLE picnic tables stationed throughout the walk (not really a hike) Overall great place to stop by and relax!
