Great short high intensity work out! Only go on a clear day when its not windy or wet, or go in summer otherwise it would be scary. Not for the infirm or younger children, the trail needs some maintenance. The water makes it squishy but you can get around it :D . Really cool if you like hiking! Please use caution when on this trail in particular! But on the positive side its cinematic looking when you get to the look out area. XD

The main trail follows the gravel path down and to the right. Early on, though, a narrow path veers off to the left. It's short and overgrown. Take it if you want high, breathtakinging cliffside views. You can sit on the edge that plunges down into the waves. Wish I was still there!

There is also a short trail to the south (starts near the parking area for the devils cauldron trail [elk flats] going north) that takes you to spectacular view of rock cliffs and water crashing in all around (caution needed due to steep dropoffs along the trail)

Easy hike from the 101! Such a treat on a sunny day! It’s a short steep trail down with some muddy sections, and at the end there’s one of the most scenic vistas of this section of the coastline! If you’re not feeling doing Cape Falcon Trail nearby this is one of the best...
