Tried going here yesterday, September 8th, but the road to the beach was too wet/muddy/rocky to access, or even see, the beach on foot. No other paths to beach found. Presume this is more a driving beach? Saw someone drive down the muddy road towards beach. Port o potty almost overflowing as well. Also, the road down to the parking lot is blind and one lane, so drive slowly and with caution once you turn off the main road, or vice versa.

If this information was useful, I would appreciate a quick like or...

This is a really cool beach with amazing views and a fun HUGE dune to climb and slide down if you bring a boogie board or sled, you can make fires here and ONLY DRIVE onto the beach if you’re gonna be bringing kayak or other type of watercraft into the ocean, if you want to drive on the beach just go a little further north and off a side road you’ll find one with cars allowed ;) (one star off cause surprisingly there a lot of micro plastics and small trash towards the end...

We absolutely love this beach. You can drive in a huge section of the beach and as always, recommend 4x4 because there are areas of soft dune sand. There are at least two points on access and we prefer to drive to the northern access point rather than the signed area off the road. Easier to navigate. While the tide pools aren't as awesome as on the other side of Cape Kiwanda, you can traverse a rocky area to get a really beautiful look at where the sandstone...

Good spot to drive on the beach, you can head to the right or left once you’re down there. Wouldn’t recommend going down that path unless you have a 4x4 as I saw a couple of cars getting stuck. Nice that they allow bonfires at night which is awesome. Can be pretty full on weekends though, and honestly prefer the Gearhart area if you have a choice since there is a lot more space to keep distance from others and be alone with the ocean!
