My review is purely based on my camping experience. My husband and I attempted to camp here this weekend from Friday-Sunday, but ended up leaving for home first thing Saturday morning because of how inconsiderate the other folks camping were. I was kept awake until 2am by barking dogs, and woken again at 5am by barking dogs. Dogs barked and whined ALL day long, we couldn't even enjoy our campsite right along the river because the barking covered up the gorgeous rushing river sound. I asked the kid at the front entrance about it, and he said "we'll have to talk to them" and was very sweet, but then when we encountered the camp hosts and notified them that we were leaving asap because of the inconsiderate dog owners who brought their poorly-behaved dogs to the park to camp, they basically laughed at us and stood up for the other campers instead of taking action against them. Why are we sitting at home and the jackass dog owners not the ones who were asked to leave? Don't go here if you want any sort of peace and quiet, day or night. There was also a man in the next site over talking until 2am in a normal, loud talking voice to someone else at his site, which made it impossible to sleep because of his unwillingness to whisper or speak quietly. Sites are beautiful (although very close together), bathrooms and showers a huge plus, and the hiking trails awesome, but we will never return due to the lack of caring from the camp hosts and staff, and the tackiness of...

So lovely! We were actually only visitors to the campsite of some friends of ours. It was an easy detour from the Mt Hood scenic drive, and just as easy on the eyes. I like how the individual camping sites are nicely separated by the trees and foilage. Parking was easy for two vehicles near the two tents pur friends had set up for themselves and their kids. From the camp it was an easy wall across a cute bridge and through the area where I took the pictures I've posted here. The path is easy to walk along, and it takes you to a clean, lazy, and shallow stream where some people were taking a dip while others we catching crayfish with their hands or simply enjoying the scene from the banks. We were told that this area can be crowded, but we nearly had the area to ourselves when we walked out there. The friends we visited are locals to the Portland area. It's a drive out to this spot, but they find it a worthwhile spot to go and grill up some bratwurst and asparagus while the kids play with the dog or run a Dungeons and Dragons game. Very nearby is a spacious park with a basketball goal and also a frisbee golf course. I think this place is great, especially...

Beautifully maintained park. Very clean. With attentive staff. Has a wooden suspension bridge over a pretty little creek. Well mainatined hiking trails. The swimming hole is a bit shallow but perfect for kids to cool off on a hot summer day. Two sections of the creek are hollowed out in order to take innertubes down the rapids. Tent spots are 28$ per night, 11$ reservation fee to book ahead of time. 2 tents and one car allowed per spot, 8$ per night for one additional car. Overflow parking is available for the same fee. Ask the staff if you need ice, 4$ per bag. Large picnic areas can be reserved for additional fees to accommodate parties and larger get-togethers. Bathrooms are kept clean, and showers are available as well. Water spigots are available at most sites. Trash picked up daily. Dumping site for larger quantities of trash as well. We will be coming...

Just stayed over the weekend and it was a lot nicer than I was expecting. They have electric and water hook ups for trailers and a dump station too. I stayed in site 66. Close to the park and bathrooms. The park has a forest theme playground, a 4 hole disc golf course, and at sundown they play a movie in the park (they played Spiderman). Theres also multiple trails to hike and a scenic swimming hole. My favorite thing is that it's close. It was only a 30 minute drive out of Portland, so if you have kids or pets they won't be stuck in the car driving everyone nuts. I think I'd go again.

Surprisingly quiet at night, no nearby roads, no traffic noise in the distance. Also surprisingly dark. The RV campers here were polite and left their porch lights off. So annoying when a RV lights up the camp ground with not just porch light, but with light emitting from all points of the RV and marking out their “yard space” with airplane runway lights. So I was able to get some sleep. Kids loved the trails and the water.
