Accessibility for elderly and handicapped can be improved on. The pavilion my family used did have a short steep road that AWD and 4WD vehicles could back into and unload food but 2WD would not have been able. There was a foot path for pedestrian traffic but it was pitted and covered with large gravel such that our wheelchair nearly tipped and two people had to take each side of grandma's wheeled walker to keep her from falling over.
Facilities were clean as was the pavilion. There was sufficient parking, but unable to make a payment for parking as the reciticle to make payment was full and children were seen pulling out envelopes that had the cash...
Read moreLast year I posted this as well. That the only restrooms that we found is the main one up front, they used to be 3 to 4 Porta pots spread throughout so everybody had access to the bathroom. It was a long way for my kids and grandkids to walk to the bathroom especially at night. We pay a lot to stay there. And I also believe doesn't the state also pay for the state parks? Also in the men's bathroom one of the Stalls totally plugged all weekend long. As well as only one shower out of three are working. Read moreLovely campsite. Our sites backed onto the woods (#58, 59) and felt private. Quite small though. Just enough room for tent and car. Tent close to firepit. Wood for sale ($10/bundle and good quality, quantity). Water and electrical hookups at each of our sites. No data (cell service). Flush toilets in which most people wore masks. Most people were trying to respect other groups' personal space. The creek was beautiful and clear/clean. We went for a dip and it was refreshing.
