Beautiful scenery & peaceful🌿Did some kayaking, trout fishing & hiking, water level was REALLY high when I was there so had to make sure to stay well away from the spillway when on the water, life jackets always a must but just keeping a safe distance is a good idea.Cool little handicapped deck overlooks the reservoir with parking spots reserved right next to it.Small fee for parking, card pay only no cash/tap to pay,no motorized boats allowed.

First off I must say that the Silverton Reservoir is one of favorite places on Earth. I frequent the lake by kayak: it is so peaceful at Silver creek that fills the lake.

I hiked the trail on 09/09/2021 and discovered that a landslide has completely removed the trail, likely sitting in the lake over 100 feet below, and it was clear that people still cross the slide and there are no posted signs officially closing the trail or even warning visitors that the trail is out.
