To the older woman I spoke with today,
I pray that this message reaches your heart, especially in light of how I was treated during our encounter. Today, I visited this building because I needed to retrieve a copy of my transcripts after misplacing the original. When searching for Workforce Advantage Academy online, an image of this church appears, which led me to believe the school was affiliated with this location.
Upon entering, I respectfully asked if this was the office where I could obtain my transcripts. However, I was met with an unkind response by this older woman, as I was told, “I am not going to teach you people how to read. Workforce Advantage Academy is in the back.” She then proceeded to question my intelligence and mockingly asked me what year I graduated. Despite my confusion, I sincerely apologized, as my only intention was to seek guidance, not to offend. What she did not realize is that I have difficulty seeing from a distance, which prevented me from noticing the signage for the school located further back.
We are living in difficult times, and it is disheartening to experience such harshness, especially within a place that represents God’s love and grace. The Lord calls us to kindness, compassion, and humility, as Proverbs 16:24 reminds us: “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”
To this woman, I pray that God softens your heart and grants you the ability to see others through His eyes—with love, patience, and understanding. You never know what burdens someone may be carrying, whether they are struggling, hungry, or fighting silent battles. A simple act of kindness can brighten someone’s day and even change a life.
To those seeking refuge in this church, I encourage you to remain discerning. Not everyone who serves in His house carries the heart of a true servant of Christ. May we all strive to reflect God’s love in our words and actions, for we are called to be the light in a weary...
Read moreGoogle uses the word hate, i did not. I just want to give 1star. I grew up in this church as they were still growing and Pastor Bracy was senior pastor. My grandmother was a faithful member for over a decade. One incident with my little sister who was a child at the time and did childish things like say things she shouldn't have, started the worst experience of all the years i attended. My Beautiful grandmother was disbanded and treated like scum for fake comments of a child. Without formal investigation, or seniority, or even Christianity taken into account. My grandmother broken hearted was forced to leave the church after years of devotion. The part that disgusts me is that she went to give senior pastor Bracey a farewell hug and he as if he despised her refused. And when at the time youth pastor Rose could have spoken up like a man because I believe he was opposed to the decision he kept his mouth shut and did not move a muscle in her defense. This place stopped being a house of God and quickly became a business as most churches do. They quickly forgot that they are men of God and not God. My grandmother loved this place and these evil people. I never did and I can say these things without fear because i see no anointing on these pastors given their actions. You can preach all day but your actions are what is judged at the end of the day. I'm glad the light was shined on 2210 Rio Grand Ave. Aka New Covenant Baptist Church. This is my opinion wrong or right this is the impression this church left...
Read moreI’m truly overjoyed to be an official member of New Covenant Baptist Church. I recently just moved to Orlando & value the importance of having a church community. After attending two services that was all it took for me to see & feel The Holy Spirits presence. Pastor Rose, & Lady Rose were so welcoming, so sweet, and kind. They treat my wife & I like REAL family; by checking up on us daily & making sure we are focused on what’s truly important & that’s Jesus. They council us with our marriage. Give us all kinds of Godly wisdom. There’s nothing mediocre or average about this church. If you’re looking for a Bible teaching church that shows Agape love, New Covenant Baptist Church is it. I highly recommend it....
