Cañada del Oro River Trail — Attraction in Oro Valley

Well maintained, in the Oro Valley section. Other parts need lots of work. Oro Valley enjoys pocket parks and Loop access to local businesses, while the rest of the OvlV/Tucson/Mariana consortium gets the shaft.

It really is beautifully maintained, though. The further south you go, the worse it gets.

In the Oro Valley section beware of septuagenarians on tandems...

Fantastic trail system for running/jogging. There are always people out enjoying the outdoors and there are many cyclists, so please remember to walk towards the right side of the lane for safety reasons. I've bike over 100 miles on The Loop and this section is my favorite one of the trail system so far. Nice surface, variety of environments, enough open views. Areas near parking lots are busy. Few sections run beside I10. Don't expect head nods or greetings from trail users, no matter how few...
