I'm SO glad we went! I had some reservations taking a six year old,for numerous reasons but she absolutely fell in love with the whole house! It was,as expected, decorated for the holidays and each room was beautiful! This was my first time visiting here in over 40 years and the only thing that I recognized was the Apostle Clock and the gorgeous staircase. We went to the front desk first and the woman who answered our questions was so friendly and helpful...she explained the various things to do and see, especially geared towards children-awesome. She gave us a colorful paper with pictures of 20 different elves that are"hidden"throughout the museum and the kids check off each elf as they find them! That alone kept my little one interested as well as the VERY cool fact that the museum actually ENCOURAGES them to touch things! This was really unexpected,I planned on an afternoon of"don't touch"and"be careful"but yay! Just the opposite was happily true! This certainly was not the museum of MY childhood! I highly recommend bringing your young ones if they're 5yrs or older or the interest may not hold for long. For my little one,2 hours was just enough time and she spied 17 elves!!!! Definitely...

Would've given a better review, but the desk lady was so rude and lacked empathy. She was really nasty and when I asked for a manager, growing more rude than previously. They took care of our situation, which we are very glad for. She was so angry though, when the superior helped us...it was clear she wanted us to not be taken care of. She wouldn't even apologize for her behavior when I brought it up. When I mentioned I would like to speak to the manager about her attitude, she threw their business card at me with her poorly written name. I asked for her name since I couldn't read it, and she ripped it out of my hands literally...and shoved it towards me again. I hope she can learn how to handle Customer situations and how to not take things so personally.

We really enjoyed the Star Wars display as well as the historical stuff. Our kids loved the Apostles clock and so do we. We hope that next time we come, they'll have...

We thought this was alright, but I think we were expecting more. We just felt it was lacking something, and was an odd mishmash of exhibits.

That said, there are some very nice pieces here. The statuettes by the native artist on the second floor were very nice, though several were missing.

The old electronic bowling game (also on the second floor) was fun to have, but seemed oddly out of place.

There were a couple areas closed off, I'm not sure what other exhibits were beyond the doors.

There's a set of drawers in the basement area with old money in good condition, and we both enjoyed looking at that. And the Tiffany lamps and wall murals were nice.

I don't know if it's just the odd setup with the exhibits not flowing together well, or something else, but we didn't really find it all that enjoyable.

Also, I've moved the map marker, as it was on the...

This was a nice weekend experience. All in all, took us about an hour. It's not huge by any means, but it's also only $8 per adult, which is acceptable, especially after having visited as many cities as I have where something like this could have easily run three times as high for a similar experience. I didn't take any pictures of the main exhibits, but I did take a good chunk of the attached house, which is included with museum admission. They also rotate exhibits frequently to my understanding, and I can only recommend anyone swing by on a gloomy afternoon. We definitely don't regret it.
