This was our first visit to Otis Ridge and I have to say we will not be back. First off, the rental equipment was disgusting. My wife and I rented snowboards and boots and I have to say the boots were the most foul smelling, putrid, rancid pieces of footware I've ever seen or smelled in my entire life. I had not idea a shoe could smell that bad. It made me gag and my eyes tear. I made the clerk aware of the smell and and he stated that all the rental shoes were the same quality. In addition to the smell, the laces on the boots were dry rotted and torn which made lacing them up difficult. I'm not sure the shoe inserts were sprayed with Lysol or washed ever. Once we got outside we discoverd the ski lifts were a bit dated. Only one lift was operating and the exit area at the top consisted of a narrow wooden ramp that was quite steep. The trails were also a bit narrow with obstacles very close to the edges that were not padded for safety in case of impact. My wife was trying snowboarding for the first time and we paid for an hour of instruction. Unfortunatley the instruction was weak at best. Although a nice young man, the instructor offered minimal advise, critque, or praise. Overall, and...

For the longest time I always wanted to ski on a regular basis but as we all know skiing isn’t exactly an inexpensive hobby. Thanks to Otis Ridge my dream has become a reality.

You cannot beat the price. 20 bucks for lift ticket. 20 bucks for ski & boot rental. You won’t find a better deal anywhere. I almost feel guilty only paying 40 bucks as they should be charging more. Season pass is less than 200 bucks which I bought without even thinking twice after my second time going there.

The staff are all smiles and very helpful.

Not the biggest ski place but so what considering the cost. The slopes are well maintained and the staff take great care of them. If you’re a beginner like me don’t waste your money at some other “high rate” place that’ll charge you an arm and a leg for a lift ticket. Otis Ridge is definitely where it’s at not just for beginners but for all other...

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Lucas as my daughter’s snowboarding instructor. From the moment she started, he was incredibly professional, patient, and caring. As it was her first time on a snowboard, she was understandably nervous, but Lucas created a comfortable and encouraging environment that helped her build confidence quickly. By the last day of her lessons, she was tackling some of the mountains with ease — a true testament to his teaching ability.

Lucas's attention to detail and ability to adapt his instruction to my daughter's needs made a world of difference. She had such a great time and learned so much under his guidance. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch...

Our family of four decided to try snowboarding. The price was great at $65 for a 1 hour lesson for 2 people, equipment rental or boots and boards and a beginner pass for the tow ropes and TBar trails. It was $12 additional for a helmet, but personally we found it worth the extra. Nice restaurant on site (Grouse House) or grab a quick bit at the lodge. Is it a luxury ski resort, not at all. Did it fit our needs of close to home, reasonably priced, friendly staff and no reservations unless you wanted a specific lesson, absolutely! We plan to return.

I recently visited Otis Ridge for their movies under the stars event and it was such a unique and enjoyable experience! The courtyard was set up with a fire pit and classic popcorn popper, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Ordering food inside and having it brought out is convenient, you don’t even have to leave your seats. The staff was friendly and the movie selection was great. I highly recommend checking out this spot for dinner and a fun and relaxing movie night in the hill towns of the Berkshires.
