We had a horrible experience, for experienced campers. The camp was great during the day; clean, nice staff, very typical; however, we had three nights of chaos at night and got very little sleep. It my be due to bad luck, so I am asking anyone considering camping here to make sure local camps don't hold festivals across the lake. We stayed Father's Day weekend and found a drug hippie festival called unifier parting all night, Saturday and Sunday, at camp timbers. They started parting both nights late and ended when the sun came up. It was so loud that my family decided to leave Sunday night at 1am. On Friday, some men got so wasted and we're playing loud music till around 3am. The staff tried to control them and monitor them but would not kick them out till it was morning because they were so wasted. Saturday, there was a domestic disputes after 2am, which was so scary that I and several others, called 911. The guy did leave before the cops came and the women seemed to be okay. After that, the unifier party was loudly heard to 7am. Sunday, we left at 1am due to unifier partining again. Staff told me that there was nothing they could do and nothing that the police could do. Do to these events, I will never camp over the weekend. I may try during the week to see if the crazies will stay away because it is a pretty place in a good location in the Berkshires but it was insane. I think I would be okay with the wasted campers and the domestic dispute, but the all night party from unifier is what made my experience...

This used to be the most beautiful place to swim and just relax in nature something changed starting in 2019 and I went back yesterday and it was even worse, not sure if the new flux of visitors are coming from Springfield/Holyoke but they bring that vibe super loud blasting music on jet skis, either really drunk or stupid behaviors on the jet skis way too fast too careless, on the beach literally yelling to talk, zero body awareness to others hitting volley balls on a small beach like it’s the ocean, kids throwing sand in the wind, the water seems sick thick and no longer healthy. I really bad for the nature there it’s being severely abused so my rating is not of the reservoir it’s in he lack of care and honor for it. I think it should be policed honestly, people having a blast does need to be on full blast go to a club or a bar not camping and have some manners holy goodness that water is going to take a life or many as it’s being...

So for 2025 this park took one of the best camping sites for the season and presumably made it a host site since it’s blocked out for all of the primary season that myself and 40 frequent regular travelers alike all use, I mean a lot of of us actually on reserve America wait for that site to open and I have to plan my summer vacation as of March . It’s across from the bathhouse. It’s a flat level lot. It’s easy access for the boat and to the people that oversee this operation you know exactly which site I’m talking about Very unfair that you made that what looks like a host site. It’s one of the best sites and one of the reasons we’ve frequent your park. I’m not sure who to contact in the state of Massachusetts regarding our level of disappointment in the management at this facility, but we will be...

If you have a boat and/or like camping and want beautiful peaceful place to go then don’t hesitate to go to Otis Reservoir and the Tolland State Forest. Otis Reservoir is the largest “recreational” body of water in Massachusetts - (not the largest body of water). It is a great option for boating, water sports and fishing. Tolland State Forest offers State and private campgrounds. Both campgrounds are great and offer different options for camping. The reservoir and campgrounds offer unending memories for families and friends. The reservoir is patrolled by the Massachusetts Environmental Police and requires all boats, boaters and fishermen to follow all state laws and regulations while on the reservoir or banks.

Camped for 3 days on the lake. Could not have been more perfect. Barely any bugs. Very clean areas. Very clean bathrooms. Staff was more then helpful. There a country store not too far. Woth anything you might need or forgot. I brought my canoe and kayaks. So was able to just get up and go out. Will definitely be going many more times.

We love this campground. Every year we make sure to make at least one trip becuse it can't be beat. Nice and quiet. We'll maintained and spaced out sites. The beach and guided nature events are awesome too. It's always a high point when the family knows we are going.
