Visiting this museum was truly like stepping into a time machine. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re surrounded by the incredible story of how human ingenuity shaped the way we move.
The antique car collection alone is worth the trip — each vehicle is beautifully preserved and displayed. Walking past these amazing vehicles, you can almost hear the engines roar to life and imagine the roads they once traveled.
Equally impressive is the array of incredible airplanes suspended above and showcased throughout the hangars. To see these magnificent flying machines, you gain a deep appreciation for the courage and innovation that lifted us into the skies. Many of the aircraft are paired with engaging stories about pioneering pilots and historic flights, which really brings the exhibits to life.
What makes this museum stand out is its dedication to telling the complete history of transportation — from early steam engines and classic motorcycles to the iconic classic cars that we've come to know throughout history.
I met with a conservator named Warren Kincaid, who shared with me a wealth of knowledge about some of the incredible displays in the museum. He was engaging and informative, and I enjoyed the interaction immensely.
Whether you’re a gearhead, an aviation buff, a history lover, or just looking for a unique way to spend an afternoon, this museum is an unforgettable experience. I left feeling inspired and grateful for the incredible minds that have pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of...

Read moreWe purchased a vehicle from their antique car auction. As a phone bidder, we were given a condition report of the vehicle that was totally false. They stated there was no rust on the vehicle. We asked the auctioneer specific questions about areas on the vehicle in regards to rust. He stated upon checking there was no rust on the car. Based on the inspection by the Owl's Head Employee/Auctioneer we bid accordingly which was higher than the market value of the car in good condition. Upon our arrival, we were not allowed to view the car until they had received cash in hand. We then got to pick up the car only to find out the entire under carriage was rotted out, inner rockers rotted, floor supports completely rotted off the vehicle and in addition riveted patches on the floors. The title also did not follow the previous owner of the vehicle. We are very disappointed by the misrepresentation and the arrogance and attitude that we received from the auctioneer. The auctioneer was very arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. We would not recommend buying a car from this auction. You should expect more from a museum when it comes to quality and factual...
