Cheaha State Park Observation Tower — Attraction in Oxford

I agree with another reviewer that the view from the tower isn’t that great, but the views from the end of the two main trail) short and easily walkable even if unfit and in normal clothing) are absolutely outstanding.

The staff at the entrance to the park were very friendly and extremely helpful highlighting on a map all the best places to explore.

Easy climb to the top of the tower! Stunning view from the top!

No restroom at this facility, need to go ~200 yards down to the camping area to find one.

Don't miss out the Chunkey Demonstration event they host monthly! It's a fun game and deserve more attention!

Well maintained observation tower and you can go up the tower to the top and see 360 degrees overlook. Walking up the stairs was a cool experience itself. Kids would love seeing and experiencing this place. If you are afraid of heights, this would be challenging but some people we crossed paths with having this fear were able to see this.
