I have to come over half an hour all the way from Enterprise, but we don't have anything like this, so it is our very favorite place to hike! The trail is right at 5k so it's a perfect place for a nice jog or to train for an event. I always take my 2 pups,and they absolutely adore it. The seclusion among the beautiful trees, all the bridges you have to cross (which broke my fur babies' fear after a couple times because they love it there so much) and how it opens up to finish the walk around a large beautiful lake with open space, several little piers and lookouts, and picnic area as well as bathrooms.    Read moreIt's a beautiful lake. We wanted to use the walking trail but we were weirded out by the warning sign at the trailhead that said "walk in pairs or in groups." Then there was another sign that said "lock your belongings in the trunk." There's only one reason why you put a sign like that out: it's a high-crime area.
