Good place to stop along the 17 mile drive road. More than this actual spot, the route which leads to this parking area is more attractive. Covered with spooky cypress trees ! From this point you can see a beach on your left with beautiful white sand and emerald green water. But I guess the access was restricted. Also there's a huge net fence which makes it difficult to photograph the island in the front. If you are short of time, this point can be avoided. You can head straight to Lone Cypress View point. Some people consider both to be the same...

Phenomenal view. I have never taken time to appreciate the beauty of the cypress tree. This being the dominant breed of tree makes it really stand out. Pretty impressive to see the lone cypress tree out all on its own. It basically sits right out on a ledge surrounded by rocks. The tree looks similar to the bonsai tree from the karate kid but on a larger scale. Worth your time to see. It falls along the 17 mile road within the pebble beach community. Did you know Cypress Point wasn’t always called that? In 1542, explorer Cabrillo saw the land and named it ‘Cape Snow’—though no one knows what he really meant! Later, in 1774, it got its true name, Cypress Point, for the iconic trees that still stand there today ❤️ #17miledrive #cypresspointoverlook #cypresstrees #pebblebeach #montereycalifornia
