This location has ruined massages for my girlfriend and I completely.
I booked a couples massage here for my girlfriend and I, and we had a frightening and violating experience. In our room we had a male and female masseuse, but the male masseuse worked on my girlfriend while the female masseuse worked on me. We DID NOT know about who was working on us until the end. All feelings of comfort were automatically overtaken by feelings of uncomfortableness and violation.
We wish it was made clear to us who would be working on us. We also think it would be common sense to not have the guy work on the female and the girl work on the guy, when they could easily switch and create a more comfortable environment.
To make matters worse, the guy was pressing incredibly hard, even for a deep tissue massage, and has left bruises on my girlfriend. Also the lady masseuse came out when I was asking for a refund and asked if she could still have tip???
I don't think any form of money or apology can help with the scars this location has placed on my girlfriend and I. Terrible experience. Never coming back nor are we getting a massage ever in our lives again.
Thank you Elim Spa for ruining something that was supposed to be a calm and...
Read moreCame for a couples scalp treatment and massage. The scalp treatment was not at all relaxing, the steam was quite hot and the tech scratched my scalp so much that it's still tender. There was very little head massaging, just a ton of hard scratching. And I agree with the other reviewer with curly hairâthey double shampooed my hair with no conditioner and brushed it while blow-drying it, which made it super frizzy.
The massage was not great, lots of elbow pressure on my spine and tailbone. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the masseuses were professional and polite and listened when I gave feedback about pressure. I was pressured for a larger tip when I left, which I didn't feel was warranted given the treatment but we caved just to leave. Seek massages elsewhere!
Edit: I'm degrading this to one star because they are now lying about me not leaving a tip. I had tried not to leave one because of the experience, but was pressured into it and my boyfriend and I DID leave a $60 tip! This place...
Read moreI usually go to another massage shop which is little cheaper than Elim Spa. One of my friends recommended Elim Spa and tried out today! It was the best experience ever for the deep tissue massage! Very professional and the top quality which is more than worth paying the price and extra tip. I still had back pain even after having physical therapy and had to get some extra massage. I am super satisfied with Elim Spa's service, quality, price, professionalism, and environment. Very well sanitized with sanitizer and sanitizing alcohol spray for individual. They also provide extra masks if needed. They check your temperature to enter in at the front desk! I will definitely go back and it will become my...
