Well maintained beach. If you are boogie boarding or surfing know that there is a sharp drop 20 or 30 yards out that breaks the wave. Makes for harsh short rides. The community does trash pick ups on the beach too. So bring a bag and do your part. It's August so there are tons of turtle nests there. If you are a tourist don't mess with the 5 ft wide ditches near the dunes. Please stay off the dunes. It protects the eggs and beach. Not a lot of tourists here. Most condo renters, snow birds and locals. Parking is free but limited. If you can't find a spot go a little further south and you will find a beach. Not a lot I. The area in the way of eating lunch so pack a lunch. A few gas stations and bait shops. The people working at these places are kind when you treat them with respect and are gold mines of local knowledge and fishing tips. Most people work to live here not live to work. So embrace island mentality and leave your troubles and worries at home. If you are looking for a toddler friendly shallow beach check out sebastian state park. $8 per car I think. Worth it because the area in monitored by rangers. Just Remember pack it in......

Love this beach location, it's usually pretty low key (not as populated). However there is a lack of respect from some; for instance people fishing from the beach seem to not have an issue just throwing hooks in an area people are swimming (especially when the fishermen arrived after others already set up in that location), then there is the people who want to play their music so the whole beach can hear it (typically setting up next to people who have already been there--there is enough beach to go around simply move away from people who may not be interested in your music choices). Typically if you are respectful and communicate with some tacked and diplomacy folks are generally good neighbors. There is no food or drink concessions at this location but beach access is good, great parking and bathrooms and showers are available. If you don't mind giving up your parking place you can drive a short ways for food and drinks--a convenience store gas station across the street you can walk to for most refreshment items. Love Florida, its still a free country down here! Highest...

Beautiful beach, definitely more of a locals spot. The dunes crossing out the the beach is super easy; the ramp flows all the way down to the beach so no stairs to carry your chair/umbrella down. Showers and restrooms are available, however the restrooms are not the cleanest or most pleasant smelling. Parking is easy in/out, but you’ll find more up at the next few beach parks headed north. Overall a great place, doesn’t disappoint for an...

This is a nice area. It is well maintained, clean and easy to find. I went to a turtle conservation dig and release. I've uploaded a few pictures from my visit. This was very informative. I recommend that everyone take one of these sessions. This beach is the Northern most site for the sea turtle conservation area. This conservation area is the most densely populated sea turtle area in the United States, so take advantage of these opportunities

This is a nice clean beach. The sand is pretty decent and the water is choppy. There aren't many buildings around and the beach is bounded by a large dune covered in tall sea grapes, giving it a more secluded feel. It was a lot less crowded than some of the other beaches in the area. I didn't see any public bathrooms or outdoor showers to clean the sand off, but I wasn't really looking either. I might have just missed them.
