Fred Poppe Regional Park, located in Palm Bay, Florida, is a vast 200-acre park that offers a wide variety of recreational activities and community events for all ages. Its facilities include five soccer fields, basketball and volleyball courts, illuminated softball and baseball fields, and a cricket field. The park also features an 18-hole disc golf course, walking and jogging trails, playgrounds, and a dog park. The park is home to the Ted Whitlock Community Center, an 18,000-square-foot facility that includes a gymnasium, banquet hall, meeting room, billiard room, and a fitness area. These amenities provide opportunities for various indoor and outdoor events and activities. Throughout the year, the park hosts major community events such as the Palm Bay Multicultural Festival, which celebrates music, dance, and cuisine from different countries. This event has featured Polynesian fire dances, steel drum bands, and a diverse range of international food. Another popular event is the Viva Brevard Festival, which honors Hispanic heritage with live music, traditional dances, and family-friendly activities. In addition to festivals, the park offers regular programs such as ranger-led nature walks, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about the local flora and fauna. In conclusion, Fred Poppe Regional Park is an exceptional destination that combines modern sports facilities, vibrant cultural events, and recreational activities for all interests, making it an essential gathering place for the Palm...

I love that the dog park is very big and plenty of space for dogs to run around. However, this is the perfect place for owners to lose track of their dogs and bad situations to arise. I walked into this dog park with my 1.5 year old golden doodle. At the gate there was a small pitbull who was growling at my dog. No owner in sight. The dog did walk away so we (naively) assumed it’d be okay to walk in. The dog ran up to my dog and instantly started attacking him. We had to yank the dog off of ours and hold him in the air until the man came to get his dog. He didn’t apologize, ask if our dog was okay, or give us his information in case our dog was injured or anything. Thankfully he left and took his dog. It was a very unfortunate situation because our dog gets along great with others and we have never had an issue. Other people at the park said that his dog is consistently aggressive to others. If you’re going to bring your dog here, keep an eye out for an aggressive small black and white pitbull in the...

Their dog park is amazing. HUGE area for large dogs to get out their zoomies. The small dog area is a very nice size as well, we used it when our doodle was a puppy, plenty if zoomies space for little pups.

They have a few pools for the dogs (my doodle fits in it by herself), at least 2 watering stations with hoses, there are some bowls as well. They also have doggie bag stations if you forget yours.

At the entance/exit, there is a dog washing area that has a hise and hooks to attach the leash so you have 2 hands free.

There have been a few aghressive dogs there, not towards me but my dog, but the owners have always been right there to calm their dog. It IS a dog park so when you get a bunch of dogs together, there are bound to be some aggressions as they are pack animals. However, my dog has never...

Have been going to the park 9 years now a nice large Park big dog side has a lot of room lot of shade in the back but also you can walk on leash around the park, outside of the park dog park, there's a lot of wooded areas you can go around plus the canals. There's also a disc golf ⛳ that runs through the park. Most of the time there's a lot of good dogs and owners out there that my K9 Sky loves to play with and most of the time there is no issues; but these are dogs and owners have to pay attention and have control of your dog. If there is an issue it is generally because of the humans and a simple failure of basic training.

The granddaughters play softball here. Not only is this a nice park, but restrooms are clean and well maintained, and the concession stand is well priced with good food, treats, and drink. Two of the girls played at the same time; different divisions. Easy to watch them both in the area between both fields. Was praying I did not have to choose! Good day of family fun and the grands learning to win and loose with grace as well as how to be a team player. I'm looking forward to many years watching them here!
