Nice visit but I arrived too late to get the boat ferry over to the fort. I was able to take pics and received a very detailed and informative discussion of the history of this fort from one of the Park Rangers (there were 5 there which surprised me for as small as it is). I love the national park system; there is so much to learn that you would never know unless you went there. It was a chilly day in January 2025 but I can assume that this place is very popular in the summer months for walking the trails, picnicking, and taking the ferry over to the fort. Thank you!

Great little historical place. We weren't able to take the ferry to the fort due to thunder and lightening in the area. There is a small trail that that is 90% boardwalk and had a pretty decent view in one stop. The area does have a bike rack, bathrooms, water fountain, soda machines, and a small giftshop.

Excellent! Energetic and knowledgeable guides; well maintained facility. Well worth your time visiting when you’re in the St. Augustine area. Enjoyed Roseate Spoonbills, Blackpoll Warbler, and Northern Parulas on this trip.

We visited the park to attend a bird watching session conducted by Volunteer Veronica. It was a Tuesday and the ferry doesn’t run on Tuesdays so we did not see the Fort. We did have a wonderful experience. Veronica was wonderful and so informative. If she were to have another session planned for the first week in October, we would be...
