Nice visit but I arrived too late to get the boat ferry over to the fort. I was able to take pics and received a very detailed and informative discussion of the history of this fort from one of the Park Rangers (there were 5 there which surprised me for as small as it is). I love the national park system; there is so much to learn that you would never know unless you went there.
