A cute little lake up in the hills near Panorama and Coyote trails makes for a pleasant stop over place while hiking up the hill on various trails which abound here. One can do boating and fishing here and a walk around is very pleasant. We could see many birds swooping down on the water surface to catch fish as well as perched on the trees nearby. The view from the top is amazing! Parking is available close by on the road which goes around the lake and a water tap adds to the convenience. No toilets though, but to expect one here would be far fetched.

Boronda Lake, a peaceful 10-acre spot in Foothills Nature Preserve, features shallow, clear waters with rich underwater plant life that supports fish like bass and sunfish. The aquatic vegetation adds to the lake’s natural charm, though it can make fishing tricky. Visitors enjoy easy lakeside trails, quiet picnics, and non-motorized boating, with no swimming allowed—making it a serene, nature-friendly escape.

Delightful little lake in the middle of Foothill Preserve, fun for recreational boating with kidd. There are two sets of docks for launching kayaks (or any non-powered boats or rafts), with car parking right next to the docks. There's a small island at the south end which one can paddle around.
