I loved this place growing up, I volunteered many hours over multiple years, and I'm glad it continues to do well. However, I sent my daughter to a week long farm camp, and while it was nice, it wasn't great. We were greeted by unsmiling camp counselors/volunteers that seemed to have no interest in interacting with the 4 year old children. My sister's older kids were in a full day, week long camp and one absolutely gorgeous summer day, they watched a movie. Seriously? I can understand if it was boiling hot, or rainy, or if it was a multi-week camp, but this was just lazy, lame leadership. At the end of the week during the parents' visit, my daughter couldn't wait to show me how to hold a bunny and said as much right in front of the head camp counselor. They started the hour long session 5 minutes late, finished 10 minutes early, and didn't bother letting my daughter hold the bunny. A direct request was met with...
Read more06.08.19 my son and I arrived a little before 12:30pm( I thought it would be crowded due to it being a “special events day”) a few other families were there and we were told they would get started soon just give them some time. Each section is ran by volunteers and I LOVE that! The animals are friendly, the safe care about their well being and don’t allow them to be on display for too long like a zoo would. Everyone is very knowledgeable and welcoming. I loved that they all were name tags it makes the experience more friendly. My son who’s 16 months had a BALL. He wasn’t wasn’t afraid of any animals whatsoever. Definitely will be attending more often. Had no idea all that this place has to offer. They off AA for males over 23 and they don’t pay to stay. They earn their keep by working on the farm. They also have a summer camp! I’m in love and so is my son! Farms like this one is why I don’t take my...
Read moreThis wonderful place exceeded my expectations! The entry fee goes towards keeping this nonprofit open, and volunteers and staff are passionate about what they do. They are welcoming and friendly, and the animals seem very well taken care of! I visited with my two younger cousins and they absolutely loved it (one age 8 and one age 12). Tractor rides, pumpkin patch, spooky woodshed and maze attractions, animals galore, hay and corn play stations, s'mores, yummy foods (including veggie burgers) and more! Everything was extremely affordable and super awesome! Even considering volunteering myself in the near future. Super recommend a visit! Plus, there was a bridge running from the farm to a forest trail, which was absolutely stunning (autumn colors...
