I went for farm camp as a kid. My son just finished as a CIT (counselor in training) and then a week session helping the kids. The program still sings one of my favorite tunes before dinner. Your kids will love it so much they cry when they have to leave. I'm not just nostalgic, but so happy the integrity of this very special farm remains in tact. Teach your kids about animals, the environment, staying off screens, helping one another, building arts and crafts, singing, dancing, bonfires, sharing stories both happy sad and scary, and learn independence hiking to the old plush horse, being away from parents/siblings, and all in a safe environment. They even agreed to take on my son who is a type 1 diabetic and embraced learning about it, supporting him, and giving him every opportunity he deserved - not all camps have this compassion. Besides camp, I've had family married in their one of a kind chapel.
