I am not from this area and I visited the church website to see what time church starts which said 10:15 a.m. I drove a distance to get there. When I walked in I asked lady in lobby area where was the sanctuary and she pointed and said I could not go in there they are doing a sound check. It was 10:12 am and I said your website says church starts at 10:15 a.m. and she said it changed, today it starts at 12:15. I explained that I'm not from here drove a long way...can I go sit in the sanctuary and she said no they are not allowing anyone in there and just looked at me. I looked at her waiting for her to say we have a place for visitors and she said NOTHING!!! I walked out and saw members of the church coming in and told them what happened. They said it starts at 10:15 a.m.....well low and behold they walked in and was told the same thing I was told....they couldn't believe it!! I got in my car and cried that people could be treated like this at a Church on Christmas day. A young man that is a member of church came to my car and apologized and grabbed my hand and prayed for me. I left and drove around until I found a church to go to and was welcomed with open arms. I don't usually write a review, but for me to leave a church in tears at how I was treated was an AWFUL AWFUL FEELING!!! I would never go there again!!! Thank God for the young man in the parking lot that prayed for me and said he was going to report it to the Pastor!!! What happened to the day when we would go in the Church before Service and sit there quietly and Pray?? THAT IS WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE IF I WAS ALLOWED IN SANTUARY!! Also the website has so many times that the Service starts....you will see open 24 hours, 10:00,...
Read moreTestimony ** So I have never attended dReam Center. I am looking for a church home and found this to be 20 minutes away so I registered for 1015a service. Due to sleep issues I couldn't fall asleep until 5a and didn't wake until after 11a 😒. I thought the website said that there was a 1015a &1215a service so I rushed to get dressed. By the time I got past dt traffic it was already 1p yet I felt compelled to go. I thought to myself well at least the preacher should be in the pulpit. When I arrived there were lines of cars. An attendant explained that the service at 1215p was virtual only. I asked what were the lines of cars and she said groceries on us. I got in line planning to get groceries for family then noticed I was on E so they had to help me get out of line. Feeling defeated for missing service and the chance to get groceries for my deceased cousin's surviving young adult kids, I pulled over to BP gas. A woman pulls up and says she needs help with groceries. She said she didn't want cash but would take even peanut butter and jelly from Dollar General. I was able to direct her to the church to help her family. She frantically raced off to get to the church. That was so Divine ordered. God will wake up a stranger, get them all dressed up and drive 20 mins just to bless you! Just wanted to share, hope I get to visit eventually. Thanks for helping...
Read moreI begin virtually worshipping with The Dream Center during the Pandemic. I am a millennial, so the way that service was ran and the preaching style instantly grabbed and kept my attention. I worshipped every Sunday and enjoyed the teaching because it was relatable. Just recently when I was watching the NYE service. I was instantly disturbed by the behavior from the Pastor William Murphy. During the sermon he asked for a towel, someone from the congregation handed him a towel. The pastor threw the towel back at the individual and stated that he wanted the towel from his office.
At first it had to register with me what took place. This type of distraction threw my entire spirit off. No longer was I interested in the message that was being delivered. And second how ungrateful and disrespectful it was to throw a towel back at someone and the tone that was delivered in the middle of a sermon was so distasteful. I immediately switched to another service and no longer wanted to be under that type of leadership.
I understand that the pastor was just recently recovering from Covid 10 days prior for a second time and that he may not have been feeling well. I also understand that pastors are human as well. It was still unacceptable and other adjustments could have been made previously for someone else to render the service just like...
