Agricola Farm — Attraction in Panton

I have always liked the farm stand way of buying fruits. Veggies and meats. Agricola farm did not disappoint. Several freezers full of various types of pork and lamb. I couldn't find what I went there for which was salami but walked out with lamb chops, which were excellent. Had them for dinner last night. But I still wound up with what I wanted. Later I found their web site and ordered 5 salami that would be delivered through the mail. Come to find out while I was at their farm they were out processing meats. So after conversing with the lady I was able to go to their processing facility in Middlebury, Vermont and pick up what I ordered through their site. On a recent rainy night I attended the Agricola farm to table dinner. Seating is at 3 big 10 person tables in a mid 1800’s farm house. It is rustic, a true farm to table experience. The food was excellent, varied and unlike any other dining I’ve been to in Vermont. Ali and her crew have a cool thing going. Dress down, it’s a flannel shirt and muck boots kinda place. The highlight was the pork raised on the farm right across the street. They grow many of their own veg as well, and things that are not grown on premises are sourced from other near by farms.
