The beach is very wide and the sand is nice but once you get in the water it's straight Muk and the deepest I think it gets is about 3 ft, we take our little here so she can run around because she's super short so she's not intimidated by the water. There is a $5 fee to be there even if you're only there for a few hours but it does have shade spots to sit and plenty of picnic tables to enjoy lunch. The water access shore line area is approx. 75 yards in length. You can wade into waste deep water until you run into the invasive weed species that is thick and runs the entirety of the access area.
