Great park, usually has some ice cream trucks in the parking lot during busy hours. Also has a kids splash pad water park, playground, and a pavilion near the entrance that can be rented out for events. Lots of birds, ducks/cranes that live here. They also stock the pond with rainbow trout every now and then, but it isn’t catch and release so usually they’re fished out within hours of being stocked. Also some catfish in the pond, not the best spot for bass fishing though. People also fish on the bridge a lot, even though they aren’t supposed to. Walking through the bridge you can easily get caught by a little kids hook. Another thing, the city decided to build a new fire station here, which is pretty annoying. There used to be frisbee golf you could play but you can’t anymore because the new fire station blocks it. It’s inconvenient to put this on park grounds, and the city does it for tax purposes, (less expensive to use “leftover” land for). These kinds of things should be voted on but Pasadena often does things like this with disregard to their citizens, in this case, people who enjoy going to this park. Plus, the ducks that live here and sleep here will not enjoy peace once the fire trucks start rolling out with...
Read moreThis is a nice park. It has a path going around the entirety of the park with water in the middle. There's a path that also cuts across the water with a small bridge area. They have one gazebo. I believe two bench swings. Not sure if it is, but I believe a place to fish off of. There's a water fountain for you and your pets. Near to the water fountain there are the bathrooms. They do close them at some point in the evening. I don't know the time, though, but if you're going 6 or after I'd go to the bathroom ahead of time. The park closes late, 11 PM I believe, so you don't have to worry about the whole 'closes at dusk' rule that most have. The park became an official texas parks & wildlife park some months ago. You can fish, but need a license. You'll get more details on a sign along the path. There are three parking lots. One in the very entrance of the park, one shortly after, and another on the other side of the park. Only one spot to grab them, but they do have poop bags for your dogs. There's a leash law. There's a baseball field. There's a hill, higher than you're probably...
