Having had the privilege of visiting the Henninger Trailhead not just once, but four times, I can confidently say that it has become a cherished destination that never fails to captivate me. Each visit has been a unique experience, further solidifying my appreciation for this enchanting trailhead. From the very first time I set foot on the trail, I felt a deep sense of familiarity and connection. It was as if the natural surroundings welcomed me back with open arms, inviting me to explore and discover even more of its hidden treasures. The well-marked paths and ample parking made the entire experience seamless, allowing me to immerse myself in nature's embrace without any distractions. With each subsequent visit, I found myself discovering new aspects of Henninger Trailhead's allure. The changing seasons brought different colors and scents, painting the landscape with a kaleidoscope of beauty. The trail, ever reliable, led me on an adventure through gentle slopes, rocky terrain, and meandering pathways, keeping me engaged and invigorated throughout. One of the joys of returning to Henninger Trailhead was witnessing the subtle changes that occur over time. The wildflowers that once bloomed vividly were now replaced by a new array of blossoms, while the trees stood taller, as if reaching for the sky. These small transformations reminded me of the ever-evolving nature of life and instilled a sense of wonder and gratitude within me. During my multiple visits, I made it a point to explore different sections of the trail, unveiling unique viewpoints and hidden gems along the way. Each hike brought its own surprises, from a secret lookout spot with panoramic vistas to a babbling brook that offered a peaceful respite. The diversity of experiences ensured that no two visits felt repetitive, allowing me to continuously rediscover the beauty that Henninger Trailhead has to offer. On a personal note, returning to Henninger Trailhead has become a form of therapy for me. It serves as a sanctuary where I can disconnect from the demands of daily life and reconnect with myself and the natural world. The sights, sounds, and scents of the trail have a calming effect on my soul, providing a much-needed escape from the chaos of the outside world. While Henninger Trailhead has provided me with countless moments of bliss, there is always room for improvement. As I revisited the trail, I noticed that restroom facilities remained limited. It would be wonderful to see additional facilities added in the future to accommodate the growing number of visitors.

Excellent trail!!! It’s a moderately difficult trail, 6-miles out-and-back, 1,500 feet gain. Despite the constant incline, there are many scenic views of the city that make the hike enjoyable. We were fortunate to see the DTLA skyline. Eaton Canyon Falls trail, located next to this trailhead, is a must. The trail to the 40-foot falls is easy and beautiful. Plenty of free parking at the Nature Center lot, including overflow parking lot and street parking.

We got to cross this while on our way to Eaton Falls. The trail is clean and marked. You might need to cross water a few times so come prepared for the same. If you’re lucky enough they you would come across some wildlife (deers and Mongoose) and some beautiful birds.

Amazing hike! The water definitely lowered a lot from a few years back. Also, I thought it was fairly easy but the path I went had a lot of big rocks so be careful of spraining ankle. But, I recommend but it is EASY to get lost so have an extra map of some sort. I got lost for almost an hour, good thing we had a map. Dogs are...
