Came here on a Sunday morning as wanted to walk the trail to the Rose Bowl. Very narrow driveway to a small parking lot, but there was plenty of parking. Majority of people were heading to the archery area and I was the only one heading to the trails. It wasn't clear which side of the stream to walk as there's paths on each side. Heading to the Rose Bowl, I walked on the right side of the stream which luckily was the correct path.

While the trail wasn't the nicest, it was a nice walk as you walked under the Colorado Bridge, Pioneer's Bridge, and the 134 on the way to the Rose Bowl. You eventually end up on the street for the last 15 minutes to the Bowl. There's an aquatic center, tennis courts, and a park before you reach the Rose Bowl. Since it was the college football bowl season, the grounds were getting prepared for the nationally televised bowl.

The Lower Arroyo Park was a simple park that was not as heavily crowded as the other local parks. The trails were wide at the beginning, but became narrower once you pass the Colorado Bridge. Nice quiet trails that were...

Went specifically for the archery range. I went with a few of my friends to teach them how to shoot. We all had fun. We did not explore the whole archery range we went to the first one that was open which was right in front of the parking lot.

Bring your own targets as well as some sturdy sticks about 6 inches long to stick your target to the hay bales, golf tees will not work.

The spot we shot at had markers for 10, 20, 23 and 25 yards. I don't know if there's longer ranges but it was nice having the markers.

Used a genesis bow at 20lb with no problems at 10 yards but my 60lb bow would have my arrows poking a few inches out the back at 25 yards so use with caution. No Broadheads!!!

No bathrooms as far as I could tell. Maybe there was a Porta potty I missed.

We went Sunday around 2 or...

This is a beautiful park for a leisurely walk. Someone posted that this is a ‘dog park’ and that there is a man made lake. This is incorrect. You can walk your LEASHED dog here, but it is not a dog park. An unleashed dog will get you a $500 fine, and it is very clearly posted throughout the park. Unfortunately there are a lot of a-holes who ignore the law. The ‘man made lake’ is a casting pond for fly fishermen/women to practice casting. It’s made of concrete and is only 1-2 feet deep. Because of its depth, it is often full of algae, so not a place you’d want to go to swim or cool off. There is a field archery range on the west side of the park that is home to the Pasadena Roving Archers club which was formed in 1935. Bicycles and motorcycles...

Wow, I've lived in LA since 1969 and I'd never been to this park ... and it's pretty cool and there is much more of it I can go back and discover. The fly fishing casting pool, though, that was totally unexpected. We liked that there frogs growing along the wedges. And then a decent walk along clear patches LEDs us under the Colorado Blvd Bridge and then under the 134 Freeway. The only down side is that Arroyo Seco smells really bad in places.

Beware of car break-ins! Hiking trail is lovely but there have been a LOT of break ins recently. This man broke into a car in the parking lot using some kind of hand crank. Cops were called, thankfully nothing was missing and no damage to the vehicle. He was driving a white minivan missing its front plate, back plate started with a 7 and ended in 59. Awful to prey on people who just want to enjoy some peace and quiet in nature.
