I have been here on Independence Day, when I was much younger. I found it truly enjoyable, comfortable. It has been many years since I have been there, however, I do remember where I was at various assorted places within this specific park.
Now, at the age I am, age 53, I have only been able to look down onto aerial or satellite imagery, which shows me an expanded radius, but it is only my imagination, with no circular radius. This includes areas outside the park. When I look down upon these areas, there are times my familiarity is very distinct, although there are no primitive places or structures seen where I have looked, thus I have my simple suspicion that there was something there, although it seems as though it is through someone elses recognizance. Read moreThis is our home town park. We love to walk around it and the fields, but the playground is lacking some and needs to be updated. There are no shady areas so the slides get very hot. Most of the benches are out in the sun. There are a couple of tables under trees. The equipment is not ideal for very young toddlers. The area is pretty spread out with no fence around it. The city does a great job at maintaining the grass and trash and repairing broken items. If you walk around the park area outside of the playground itself, there are some very beautiful Sycamore and Magnolia trees and the Rotary rose garden. People are usually friendly. Read moreFor a small town park, Wacker has a lot to offer and all well maintained. Beautiful old trees, a band shell, a kids play area, lots of picnic tables with bbq grills, a fitness center with a small waterpark, walking path, rose garden, lighted tennis courts. The next addition will be an off-leash dog park. Park also hosts big events and festivsls throughout the year: July 4th fireworks, Easter egg hunt, rodeo, band camps, and live music concerts.
