I wasn’t sure what to expect before coming here, but this unassuming airbase blew me away! We thought we’d only be there a couple of hours tops, but ended up staying closer to 4 hours. While the amazing array of WWII era planes are the stars, it was the volunteers that brought this place to life. From Generals to Janitors every person there was entirely on a volunteer basis and extremely giving of their time for visitors. There’s no entrance fee. Yvonne was awesome about keeping us updated and rescheduling another day. The reschedule date was forecasted with bad weather. However with the help of Yvonne and the other staff members were able to get him up the day before the weather hit. Jeff, the pilot, and Wanda were so accommodating on making his ride the dream of a lifetime. We brought the entire family back to the museum the next day and all the volunteers that day were so well educated, even the youngest found it fun and...
