Martins Landing Marina — Attraction in Peak

We have been to this restaurant twice. The atmosphere and service are great. This restaurant has lots of potential, but there are definitely issues with the consistency of the food. Both times we went parts of the order came out that was lukewarm or cold. Some items had to be sent back. A hamburger ordered by a member of our party was undercooked. The fish and chips, and the shrimp basket were okay at best. I will say that the wings are on point. While the quantity of food for the entree is good, appetizers cost as much as an entree but are laughably small in size (calamari and cheese sticks). The food issues need to be corrected, especially given the price. Two entrees, one appetizer and no alcoholic beverages with tip was $70 (for 12 wings and fish and chips). For that price you expect close to perfection. Unfortunately there are major quality control issues with the food both time we have been. Probably wont go back...

Our recent visit with a group of six revealed some significant challenges. Host seemed a bit overwhelming trying to seat 6. Sat us indoors with the doors wide open on a warm day, combined with a lack of air circulation or fans, made the dining experience quite uncomfortable. It was genuinely hot, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. While the live band was talented and played great music, the acoustics of the space made it obnoxiously loud. We experienced several ear-piercing feedback incidents, and it was nearly impossible to have a conversation with the person sitting right beside you. This really detracted from the social aspect of a group dinner. As for the food, I ordered the shrimp and grits. The family lake house is 4 football fields from the new landing! The amazing job Mr. Martin has done on this new project is stunning! I would highly recommend booking a camp site and enjoy Lake Murray in a family style setting. A Mexican restaurant (Nacho Margaritas) that hosts Karaoke on Friday nights with delicious food and atmosphere and Martin’s Landing is opening a Family style bar and grill. New docks for your boat be it large or small. There’s plenty of room for your particular watercraft. Gas pumps have been installed with no attendant needed. They’re open for use 24 hrs day and night!
