Key things to note for this trail / park. This has been a very enjoyable location for both on and off road trail riding and overall versatile park!

It is for the most part very well kept and neat especially on the paved portion but also on the main wooded trail with the exception of after a decent rain when the trail hold a bit of water in several locations. Your only option at this point is to press on and get wet shoes or turn around and stay on the paved trail.

This is a very long trail if you choose you so desire it to be so it is very versatile for all levels of duration! Very nice attribute for anyone wanting long distance.

The playground (not that I have children of my own to use) seems to be pretty well maintained and in good working condition for the small ones while the parents can walk around a nice paved path within a reasonable observation distance.

Although there seems to always be a continuous flow of traffic, I've never found it to be overwhelming or too crowded to enjoy my visit!

I wasn't able to fully experience the off road trail due to the heavy rains leading up to my visits causing things to be very slick and near impossible to keep from getting stuck. Another issue we encountered was the fact that along the 1/2 mile section of off road trail we tried to navigate, a couple (3 in this case) spots had washed out all the way to the trail making us stop and get off our bikes to safely pass those spots.

Please be mindful when taking on the off road trails of the above mentioned hazards to prevent injury and maximize...

This neighbors Riverstone Creek retention pond where you can fine a wonderful gang of ducks turtles and one very grumpy goose. It's also known as El Franco Hike and Bike trail which is an extension to the larger El Franco Sports field and Splashpad located just off beltway 8 feeder and Hall Rd. ... El Franco in a whole has everything you want in a community park. Sports ballpark has several feilds, picnic areas, playground, splash pad, nature wetlands, recreation center and indoor and outdoor reception areas.... It's the best park in this area. It's my nature sanctuary to where I can honor our beautiful planet. I'm grateful it's available for my workouts and nature fix.

P.S. I can't tell you how many pounds of trash I've cleaned up because the trash cans we're all over flowing with trash and when it storms it flys into the water and THAT is a danger to the life of the turtles and ducks. PLEASE do your part to keep this park clean. Do NOT throw your trash in these overstuffed bins.... maybe use your home or nearby gas station....

Very beautiful scenery and nice long trail However, unfortunately, I had a horrible experience . I would go run with my dog when I got approached one day (last week 1/19/23) by a black male long black/white beard he took off his vest and proceeded towards me (he also tried to talk to me but I had ran off and called the police(police could not do anything report made) once people came, he took off the other way … unfortunately, this is not the first time someone has been assaulted at this park + a young female went missing. Please be very careful. I don’t even feel safe going to this park anymore. Carry pepper spray and be aware of your surroundings especially at night there no...

It was a nice little trail with a bunch of ducks and geese. Too bad it's not that well maintained- there was empty plastic bags and poop on the sidewalk. The water looked splendid though because of the sun. It did look dirty up close but what can you expect when it's home to animals like turtles and what not.

Bring water because this is basically 6.25 miles of full sun. Trail is asphalt and has large, deep cracks in places, so be careful. Keep in mind though that it is a great, free resource. Grass along the trail was well maintained. Plenty of free parking at various playgrounds along the trail.
