Boba Bird — Restaurant in Pearland

Came here after work for some boba and upon arrival I noticed that they had a lot of flavored boba options. I couldn’t make up my mind if I wanted to get the Green Thai tea or regular Thai tea so the boba-rista was kind enough to provide me a small sample to help make my decision easier. It was good but I was then recommended the “Bird Boss Milk Tea” since it’s one of their popular item so I decided to settle for that instead (without the cheese foam though lol) and it did not disappoint!

I was then intrigued by their spicy chicken tenders. They also have a special deal if you were to purchase a basket (basket includes tenders, fries, toast, and sauce) you’ll get $2 off any drink. Thought that was a great deal since I wanted to get a drink anyways. I asked the cashier what level tolerance of spice she likes on her tenders and she said spicy so I decided to try that level just to be on the safe side (my spice tolerance is pretty high too) and thought it was a good kick to it. I think I will try “too hot to handle” next time for a bit of a more kick. Tenders were moist and juicy and omg… the fries were fried to perfection. Loved the seasoning they used. The sauce that comes with it paired so well with everything.

Decor was cute with their company logo. Spacious seating area with amazing lighting to do some studying or just hanging out with some friends. There is a convenient self-order station if you rather order through there instead. Staff was so attentive and friendly. So glad to have a new boba shop in the area! Also, what boba shop opens from 10 am - 10 pm down in SE Houston! Great spot for early risers who are craving for a boba drink or for late...

I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent quality of food at Boba Bird. I used to enjoy visiting and often recommended it to others, but my last several experiences over the past 2–3 months have been unsatisfactory. if you’re wondering why I’ve returned so much times, while rating it a one star is because i’ve been having the hope it would go back to normal, but now that hope is gone.

The chicken I’ve been receiving tastes raw and completely unappetizing, which not only ruins my appetite but also raises concerns about food safety. On my most recent visit, I even found a strange piece in the chicken that was gooey and black in appearance, which made the meal completely inedible. In addition, the fries, which were once well-seasoned and enjoyable, now arrive bland, lacking flavor, and tasting mostly like oil. For the past 2–3 months, the food has consistently not tasted the same, and the overall quality has clearly declined.

Boba Bird has some of the best Boba drinks and mixtures I have ever had. I have never had their milk tea but I can vouch for the fruity drinks and smoothies they serve here. Their fruit flavors taste like they use genuine, sweet, REAL fruit, and their popping Boba comes in a lot of different flavors from which you can choose. The other good part about this restaurant is its food. Every time I go I only get their tender box meal which comes with chicken tenders, fries, pickles, bread, and their signature sauce. The breading on their chicken is flavorful and does pack some spice if you decide to order higher on the spice scale. Their signature sauce also pairs well with all of their food options. The pickles they provide with your meal are also really good, and they have gone through many pickle providers to find the best-tasting ones for their customers. The customer service is also great here as every worker at the front counter is very nice and welcoming, as well as the food and drinks take a very reasonable time for how long it takes to make.
